FCT Election: ADC candidate condoles family of late party agent

Dr. Mo, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) contender in the recent Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) election, has visited the family of Musa Abubakar, an ADC party agent who lost his life at the Gwagwa polling unit during the polls.

In a press briefing, Dr. Mo said Abubakar died while striving to protect the integrity of the votes.

“Some polling units reportedly experienced manipulation of results, and sadly, this situation led to Musa Abubakar’s death as he sought to defend the electoral process,” he said.

He called on the relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation to ensure justice is served and public confidence in the election restored.

“Incidents like this threaten the credibility of our elections and weaken trust in our democracy,” Dr. Mo added.

The election results showed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) won five out of six area council chairmanship positions across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
