A major forgery scandal has hit the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Abuja, following revelations that a senior official, Mr. Nwankwoeze Williamson Chijioke, currently serving as the Director of Lands in the Mass Housing Department (MHD) of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), allegedly forged his academic credentials.

According to documents obtained by The Legal Observer, Chijioke is accused of presenting a fake Ordinary National Diploma (OND) statement of result purportedly issued by Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, which he allegedly used to secure higher qualifications and rise through the ranks of the Nigerian civil service.
Multiple sources revealed that the alleged forged certificate served as the foundation for all of Chijioke’s subsequent academic and professional achievements. Using the document, he reportedly gained admission into the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State, where he obtained a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Architectural Technology, and later went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus (UNEC) and a Master’s degree in an undisclosed field.

These credentials allegedly facilitated his steady rise to one of the most sensitive positions within the FCDA hierarchy — Director of Lands.
A source familiar with the matter described the development as “a classic case of systemic fraud hiding in plain sight.
