The Nigerian Army has arrested a suspected bandit, Sule Yellow, who allegedly used the TikTok account @suleyellow6 to promote the activities of armed gangs.
Reports on X on Monday by @mobilisingniger stated that Sule Yellow was detained shortly after he reportedly collected ransom from the family of a kidnapped victim.
Prior to his arrest, the suspect frequently appeared on TikTok, livestreaming operations of criminal gangs. On March 4, he reportedly went live with another suspected bandit, Auta, and several associates.
Security operatives said they had been monitoring his online activity before moving in to apprehend him. Authorities have also deactivated the TikTok account associated with Sule Yellow following his arrest.
According to the post, “The Nigerian Army arrests notorious bandit Sule Yellow after he allegedly received ransom from the victim’s family. His account has been disabled by security forces.”
