Terror kingpin killed in factional clash as troops intensify North-West operations

A notorious terrorist commander, identified as Kachalla Auwalu and reportedly linked to the Dogo Gide network, has been killed in a violent clash between rival armed groups in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

An operational report obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria on Sunday indicated that the incident occurred during an internal confrontation among terrorist factions operating within the area.

The report added that about 12 members of the armed groups were killed during the exchange.

Military authorities said troops were monitoring the situation and maintaining operational pressure in the affected locations.

It was also gathered that troops under Operation Fansan Yamma in Zamfara State responded to an attack on Gidan Daji village in Maru Local Government Area.

According to the report, following the attack, troops launched pursuit operations aimed at tracking and apprehending fleeing terrorists.

The Nigerian Army said additional coordinated operations were ongoing across the North-West as part of intensified efforts to dismantle terrorist networks and restore stability to affected communities.
