The Nigeria Police Force on Saturday reiterated that recruitment into the is free of charge, cautioning applicants against falling victim to job racketeers and fraudsters.
The commission issued the warning ahead of the forthcoming written examination for prospective constables, scheduled to hold from April 28 to April 30 across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
According to a statement reported by News Agency of Nigeria, the exercise will cover both general duty and specialist cadres, with designated centres nationwide.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Lagos State, SP , said the examination in the state would take place at the Police College, Ikeja.
She added that the Commissioner of Police, , urged candidates to comply strictly with guidelines, arrive early at their centres and maintain orderliness throughout the process.
Adebisi stressed that the commission would not condone any form of malpractice.
“The PSC will not tolerate any form of fraud in the recruitment process. Anyone found engaging in such illegal activities will face the full weight of the law,” she said.
She noted that only candidates who successfully passed the physical and credentials screening would be eligible to sit for the examination.
Applicants were also advised to log on to the official recruitment portal from April 24 to print their examination slips, which indicate their date, time and venue.
Items required for the exercise include a pen, a National Identification Number slip issued by the with a clear photograph, and a printed examination invitation slip.
Candidates are also expected to appear in white shorts, white T-shirts and white canvas shoes, the statement added.
