A youth advocate and aspirant in the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries in the Idanre Local Government Area of Ondo State, Kayode Akinboni (Kayval), has won the ongoing primary election for aspirants for the House of Assembly position in the Local Government Area.
Announcing the result at the Local Government level, Hon. Tpl. Henry Olatuja, the Returning Officer said Akinboni polled a total of 5,423 to defeat his main opponent, Oyewole Aderemi, who could only gather 1785 votes in the relatively peaceful election.

While reports from the grapevine suggests Oyewole Aderemi is the consensus candidate of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, it cannot be confirmed as at the time of filing this report, particularly in light of the huge difference between his performance at the polls and Akinboni’s.

A voter who prefers anonymity stressed that the power of the youth cannot be underestimated in any election hence the merited win of Akinboni Valentine Kayode, a youth advocate and grassroots mobilizer.
