BREAKING: Tinubu Orders Special Security Deployment, Approves 1,000 Forest Guards for Rescue of Abducted Oyo Pupils and Teachers

President Bola Tinubu has ordered the deployment of a specialized security unit equipped with advanced rescue capabilities to strengthen efforts aimed at securing the release of pupils and teachers abducted from schools in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

According to a statement issued on Sunday by Bayo Onanuga, the President also approved the recruitment of 1,000 forest guards in collaboration with the Oyo State Government to support ongoing search-and-rescue operations.

A federal government delegation led by Femi Gbajabiamila and Nuhu Ribadu visited the affected communities of Esiele and Yawota on Sunday to convey the President’s directives and reassure residents of the government’s commitment to rescuing the victims.

The delegation also included Tunji Disu, Christopher Musa, and Sunday Dare.

The latest intervention comes as security agencies intensify efforts to secure the safe return of the abducted pupils and teachers, whose kidnapping has generated widespread concern across the country.
