Popular Nigerian comedian and content creator Carter Efe has had his Twitch account suspended for four months, just days after his high-profile livestream with Afrobeats superstar Davido.
The livestream, held on December 17, 2025, drew massive online attention and helped Carter Efe become Africa’s most-followed Twitch streamer, amassing over 405,000 followers on the platform.
Announcing the development on Monday, the comedian said Twitch imposed the suspension for alleged violations of its Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, although the platform did not disclose the specific infractions.
The suspension comes shortly after Carter Efe surpassed other Nigerian content creators, including Shank Comics, and recorded one of the most-watched livestreams on Twitch following Davido’s appearance.

While speculation online suggested the ban may have been linked to mass reporting or conduct during the livestream, reports claiming that Carter Efe was also banned on other platforms were dismissed as untrue.
