Ned Nwoko, the senator representing Delta North Senatorial District, has publicly responded to domestic violence allegations made by his wife, actress and filmmaker Regina Daniels. In a viral video on Saturday, Daniels accused Nwoko of severe physical assault and expressed that she could no longer tolerate the alleged abuse in their marriage.
The couple, married since 2019, share two children, with Daniels being Nwoko’s sixth wife. Reacting to the allegations through a statement on his X page, the 64-year-old senator described Daniels’ conduct in the viral video as “unprovoked carnage and rampage.”
He attributed her behavior to ongoing drug and alcohol addiction, stating that her battle with substance abuse is the root cause of their marital problems.
Therefore, Nwoko claimed Daniels has been violent in recent days, accusing her of slapping and hitting three staff members and damaging property including cars and windows without justification. He insisted he has set a condition for her to accept rehabilitation, either locally in Asokoro or internationally in Jordan, where she would have no access to drugs.
He also emphasized that none of his other wives have accused him of violence.
Further, Nwoko alleged that Daniels threatened to kill their resident nurse who exposed her drug abuse, and he accused Sammy West—who claims to be Daniels’ brother—of being her drug supplier. Following the viral video, Sammy West posted on Instagram that Nwoko assaulted Daniels and sent thugs to harass her family, charges Nwoko firmly denied.
Nwoko also described a chaotic scene at home, allegedly orchestrated by West and others involved in Daniels’ drug supply. He noted that while he took their child Moon to the hospital, Daniels showed no concern and escalated the disturbances.
The controversial claims come just weeks after Daniels posted a lighthearted prank video with Nwoko on Instagram, suggesting a seemingly playful relationship. As of the latest reports, Daniels has not publicly responded to Nwoko’s allegations.
