On Wednesday, November 27, 2025, three writers from Nigeria and Ghana convened in Iseyin, Nigeria, for the November and December edition of the Ebedi International Writers Residency.
The participating writers include Prince Litela Agbemedu from Ghana, along with Nigeria’s Tunde Akingbondere and Stephen Mokuye. Each writer has distinct project topics to work on over the next four weeks and is also expected to mentor secondary school students in Iseyin as they complete their projects.
The residency is organized by Ebedi International Writers Residency—a private initiative aimed at providing writers with a conducive environment to finalize their ongoing works. Established in 2010, the residency has hosted a total of 380 writers from 12 African countries.
“Three writers from Ghana and Nigeria have arrived in Iseyin, Nigeria for the November/December 2025 Edition of the Ebedi International Writers Residency,” the announcement released in part stated.
“In addition to their individual writing projects, the writers will also mentor secondary school students in Iseyin during their four-week stay.”
The announcement also noted that the group of male residents received support from ADWINSA Publications—a Ghana-based publishing and printing company. ADWINSA also offers consultancy services and distributes educational materials.
“The current class of male residents were sponsored by ADWINSA PUBLICATIONS LTD, a Ghana-based publishing and printing company with outreach to Nigeria where it has some texts on the educational syllabus.”
