Aircraft Makes Unusual Landing at Kano Airport, Passengers Safe

An aircraft operated by Flybird Aircraft Management Services Ltd made an unusual landing at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport on Sunday morning, but all passengers and crew were reported safe.

The jet, with registration number 5N-ISB, was travelling from Abuja to Kano when it experienced difficulties while landing at about 9:30 a.m. There were 11 passengers and three crew members on board.

Eyewitnesses said the aircraft came to a stop on the runway, after which passengers were promptly evacuated. No injuries were recorded.

Flybird confirmed the incident in a statement issued in Lagos, describing it as an unusual landing and noting that standard safety procedures were strictly followed.

According to the company, the flight crew successfully brought the aircraft to a safe stop, and all occupants disembarked without harm. The aircraft has since been secured, and the incident formally reported to relevant aviation authorities.

Flybird added that a detailed technical inspection and investigation are already underway in line with aviation regulations, reaffirming its commitment to safety and cooperation with authorities
