The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has announced automatic employment for the two sons of his police aide, Deputy Superintendent of Police Hussani Ibrahim, who died in a fatal accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Sunday.
Akpabio made the announcement on Tuesday during a Senate session, paying tribute to DSP Ibrahim, who served as his personal rider. He described the late officer as disciplined, dedicated, and courageous. “Your father devoted himself to service. His death is a testament to his legacy,” Akpabio said.
The Senate President’s pledge is a personal gesture to support the bereaved family and honour the service of the late officer. The Senate also observed a minute’s silence for DSP Ibrahim and Alhaji Ibrahim Tukur, a recently deceased driver who served 25 years under Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho.
