U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that the ongoing conflict involving the United States and Israel has led to a change in leadership in Iran.
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump said he believes a new leadership structure has emerged in Iran following the killing of several key figures during the conflict. He added that the U.S. is now engaging with a different set of individuals compared to previous Iranian leadership.
“I believe we will reach an agreement with them… but we have experienced regime change,” Trump stated, expressing confidence in the possibility of a future deal with Tehran.
The claim has also been echoed by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who suggested that the absence of visible leadership in Iran indicates a shift in power. She argued that the country’s previous leadership structure appears to have been dismantled, supporting the president’s assertion.
Despite these remarks, there has been no independent confirmation of a formal regime change in Iran, and the situation remains unclear as tensions in the region continue.
