In a statement posted on Truth Social, Trump declared that Iran’s “whole civilization will die tonight” if no agreement is reached. He had earlier given Iran until 8 p.m. ET Tuesday (1 a.m. WAT) to comply with U.S. demands.
The U.S. is insisting that Iran fully reopen the strategically important Strait of Hormuz to global shipping, warning that failure to do so could result in drastic military action.
