Omoyele Sowore, former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), has stated that Bola Ahmed Tinubu will not secure a second term in office.
Sowore made the remark on Friday while addressing journalists and supporters in Abuja, citing growing public dissatisfaction over economic hardship and insecurity across the country.
According to him, many Nigerians are increasingly frustrated with the current administration and must use the 2027 general election as an opportunity to effect change. He argued that citizens should resist any attempt by the government to retain power beyond a single term.
Sowore emphasized that the responsibility for change lies with the electorate, urging Nigerians to make decisive choices that will shape the country’s future.
Similarly, Rotimi Amaechi, former minister of transportation, noted that many Nigerians are already looking ahead to the next election with the intention of voting out the current administration.
Speaking on a Channels Television programme, Amaechi pointed to rising living costs, high fuel prices, and transportation expenses as key factors driving public dissatisfaction.
He added that the economic challenges facing citizens could significantly influence voter decisions in 2027.
The comments from both political figures reflect intensifying political debate ahead of the next general election, as issues of governance, economic performance, and public welfare continue to dominate national discourse.
