Ondo Commissioner Under Scrutiny Over Allegations, Spending Concerns

The Omowumi Isaac has come under renewed public scrutiny following reports linking her to ongoing police investigations and controversial state-funded projects.

According to reports, the commissioner was earlier invited by the Nigeria Police Force over allegations including criminal conspiracy, attempted murder, threat to life, assault, and causing grievous bodily harm.

The invitation was issued by the Inspector General of Police Monitoring Unit as part of an ongoing probe.

However, sources cited in the report allege that Lucky Aiyedatiwa may have intervened in the matter, potentially influencing the course of the investigation.

There has been no official confirmation from the state government regarding this claim.
The situation has drawn further attention after a video surfaced showing the commissioner supervising a state-funded project in Ondo State.

The project, reportedly involving the renovation of an Eid prayer ground, has attracted criticism from observers who question its priority amid prevailing economic challenges.

Critics argue that the development raises concerns about accountability and the appropriate use of public funds, particularly given the unresolved nature of the allegations against the commissioner.

As of the time of reporting, neither the Ondo State Government nor the Ministry of Finance has issued an official statement addressing both the police investigation and the controversy surrounding the project.
