Oyedepo recounts encounter with kidnappers over abducted pastor

Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church has narrated how a pastor of the church regained freedom after he reportedly spoke directly with the abductors.

Oyedepo disclosed this during a sermon captured in a video that has circulated widely on social media.

According to him, the incident occurred when kidnappers contacted the church to demand ransom, after which he requested to speak with them.

The cleric said he issued a 24-hour ultimatum, warning that failure to release the victim would have consequences.

He stated that following the conversation, the abducted pastor was released shortly after.

Oyedepo also urged members of his congregation to provide his phone number to kidnappers in the event of abduction, expressing confidence in what he described as divine authority.

He further recounted a separate incident involving a female member of the church who was kidnapped but later freed.

According to him, the victim declared to her captors that she would regain her freedom within a specified time, after which she was released.

The bishop’s remarks have since attracted attention online, with reactions trailing the claims made during the sermon.
