Nigeria’s next president already decided — Adeboye

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adeboye, has stated that Nigeria’s next president has already been ordained by God.

Adeboye made the remark on Saturday during a workers’ meeting held at the Redemption City along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

According to the cleric, the outcome of future elections, including the 2027 presidential poll, is beyond human control, stressing that divine will ultimately determines leadership.

“The one who will rule has already been chosen by God long before we were born. He knows the end from the beginning,” he said.

He added that God does not make decisions based on unfolding events, noting that the choice of Nigeria’s next leader had been settled from the foundation of the world.

Adeboye urged members of the church to remain focused on their spiritual responsibilities rather than becoming preoccupied with political outcomes.

“Continue to pray, win souls, and remain steadfast in your calling. Concentrate on your assignments,” he advised.

The RCCG leader also addressed recent remarks by another preacher who described him, David Oyedepo, and William Kumuyi as “denominational fathers” rather than fathers of all Christians in Nigeria, stating that he agreed with the position.
