Putin Says Ukraine War May Soon End

Russian President Vladimir Putin has suggested that the war in Ukraine could be nearing its end after more than four years of fighting.

Speaking in Moscow during the Victory Day celebrations, Putin said the conflict appears to be “heading toward a conclusion” and noted that Russia has never rejected talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Putin also claimed Western countries were using Ukraine to weaken Russia but said their efforts had failed. He added that Russia and China are preparing to deepen cooperation in the oil and gas sector.

The Russian leader further praised foreign leaders who attended the Victory Day event in Moscow, describing their presence as an act of courage.
