Former Minister of Transportation and presidential aspirant, Rotimi Amaechi, has arrived at the venue of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential screening in Abuja.
Amaechi arrived at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel on Wednesday dressed in traditional Niger Delta attire and accompanied by several of his political allies ahead of the screening exercise.
The former Rivers State governor recently declared his intention to contest the 2027 presidential election under the ADC platform after submitting his nomination forms at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
Speaking after submitting the forms, Amaechi dismissed speculations that he may eventually settle for a vice-presidential position, insisting that he joined the race to become Nigeria’s president.
His appearance at the screening comes amid increasing political activities and alignments ahead of the 2027 general elections.
