Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has appeared at the State High Court in Kaduna following his temporary release for his mother’s burial.
He is also expected to proceed to the Federal High Court in the state for the continuation of his bail hearing.
El-Rufai had earlier been released from the custody of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to attend the burial rites.
The case stems from his arraignment on March 24 on charges related to alleged fraud and money laundering. At the time, the court adjourned the bail application hearing to March 31.
Proceedings are expected to continue as the court considers his request for bail.
