Adams Oshiomhole, senator representing Edo North, has described former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as the “best campaign manager” for the ruling All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 general election.
Speaking during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Oshiomhole said the APC was not threatened by emerging opposition coalitions such as the African Democratic Congress and the Nigeria Democratic Congress.
According to him, divisions and public criticisms among opposition leaders are indirectly strengthening the APC’s political position.
“You mean APC would be worried about ADC or NDC? Atiku is now our best campaign manager because he is attacking Obi, while Obi is attacking Amaechi,” Oshiomhole said.
Atiku and Peter Obi previously contested the 2019 presidential election on the same ticket under the PDP before parting ways ahead of the 2023 elections, when Obi joined the Labour Party.
Obi reportedly returned to the ADC earlier in 2026 before later defecting to the NDC, where he is believed to be preparing for a possible 2027 presidential bid alongside Rabiu Kwankwaso.
