Governor Aiyedatiwa and Dignitaries to Grace the Inaugural O’Datiwa U-17 Final

Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, along with other distinguished guests, is set to attend the final of the inaugural O’Datiwa Under-17 Football Competition on Monday.

The championship match will be hosted at the Ondo State Sports Complex in Akure, the state capital.

This grassroots football tournament, which has spanned several months, showcased some of the most promising young talents from across Ondo State.

In anticipation of the final, Hon. Henry Omoyofunmi, the Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, emphasized that the tournament included teams from all 18 local government areas. Its goal is to uncover and cultivate young talent while fostering unity and promoting sports development at the community level.

The day’s activities will kick off at 8:00 a.m. with the third-place match, where Afolabi Iyantan FC will compete against Ondo East Young Stars.

The championship final is set for 10:00 a.m., featuring Ore Bombers and Rolawe FC in what promises to be an exhilarating showdown between two well-prepared teams that have impressed throughout the tournament.
