The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday released its official schedule and fees for the 2026 Osun State governorship election, outlining key dates for nomination, screening, delegate congresses, and primary elections.
In a statement from the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, signed by National Organising Secretary Sulaiman Argungu, the APC said the electoral process will kick off with the notice of election to the State Chapter on Friday, October 3, 2025, while membership register updates will take place from October 20 to 31, 2025. Eligible voters and aspirants must have up-to-date membership dues as of February 2025.
The timetable sets out the sale and submission of forms: Expression of Interest Forms will be on sale from Wednesday, November 12, 2025, while completed Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms, along with Delegate Forms, are to be submitted by Monday, December 1, 2025.
The party also detailed provisions for women, youth, and persons with disabilities. Female and disabled aspirants will pay for the Expression of Interest Form but receive the Nomination Form free. Youths aged 25–40 will pay for the Expression of Interest Form with a 50% discount on the Nomination Form.
The fees for the governorship race are: Expression of Interest Form – ₦10 million, Nomination Form – ₦40 million, totaling ₦50 million, while Delegate Forms are set at ₦5,000. Forms will be available at the APC Directorate of Organization in Abuja.
The timetable also specifies delegate election rules, aspirant screening, publication of results, appeal periods, and the conduct of the governorship primary, with results to be ratified by Congress in line with Article 84(4)(b) & (c) of the 2022 Electoral Act (as amended).
