The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has pledged his unwavering support for the forthcoming Nigerian Bar Association Section on Public Interest and Development Law (NBA-SPIDEL) 2025 Annual Conference.
The announcement came during a productive meeting at the Government House in Uyo, where Governor Eno received a high-level delegation from NBA-SPIDEL led by Chairman Prof. Paul Ananaba, SAN.Scheduled from December 1st— December 5th, 2025, in Uyo, the conference is poised to be a landmark event in advancing governance, the rule of law, and public interest advocacy in Nigeria.
The Governor Eno expressed confidence in Akwa Ibom’s growing profile as a premier destination for national and international events, highlighting ongoing infrastructure projects such as the 5,000-capacity International Convention Centre, the ARISE Resort, and significant upgrades to the Ibom Hotels and Golf Resort.
“These world-class facilities are designed to attract major conferences and investments, aligning perfectly with our ARISE Agenda focused on tourism, economic growth, and intellectual collaboration,” Governor Eno stated.
He assured the NBA-SPIDEL leadership of his administration’s full logistical and institutional support to ensure the conference’s success.Prof. Ananaba praised Governor Eno for the developmental strides made by Akwa Ibom State, describing it as one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing hubs.
During the meeting, the Associate Professor Uju Agomoh, Chairperson of the Conference Planning Committee, emphasized that this year’s conference will unite thought leaders and advocates dedicated to transformative reforms in Nigeria’s legal and governance sectors.
The meeting also saw commendations from Chief Assam Assam, SAN, Chairman of the Fundraising and Sponsorship Subcommittee, who recognized the conference as a unique opportunity to spotlight Akwa Ibom’s hospitality and progress.
