The city of Ibadan witnessed a surge of political fervor on Saturday as a massive crowd of party faithful and prominent leaders converged for the much-anticipated Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) convention.Long before the official commencement, streams of supporters thronged the venue, waving banners and chanting slogans in support of the party. The atmosphere was electric, with visible excitement among delegates, youth groups, and traditional supporters from across the country.
“We are here to show solidarity with our great party and demonstrate unity ahead of the coming elections,” said one party delegate who arrived with a contingent from Ogun State.
The convention was attended by key PDP figures, state governors, and members of the National Working Committee. Addressing the crowd, a senior PDP leader declared, “This convention marks a new chapter for our party. We are resolute in the face of challenges and determined to reclaim our mandate at all levels.”
