President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reportedly initiated a new phase of political mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections, involving the distribution of luxury vehicles to state coordinators under a structure known as the Renewed Hope Ambassadors. According to information obtained by The LegalObserver News, the vehicles — a Toyota Land Cruiser, a Toyota Hilux, and a Hummer bus — were handed out during a private meeting in Abuja on Monday. The network is said to be fully coordinated by Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, who sources claim supervised the entire presentation.
Insiders revealed that each state coordinator was instructed to work towards raising ₦1 billion as part of the funding strategy for the 2027 campaign. They added that President Tinubu’s public endorsement of Uzodimma days earlier was directly linked to this political structure. According to one source, the administration’s decision to prioritise political infrastructure at this time has raised significant concern within inner circles.
The meeting took place against the backdrop of escalating insecurity across the country, including persistent kidnappings, violent attacks, and mass displacement. Critics within the system expressed frustration that substantial resources were being channelled into political organisation while the nation continues to grapple with widespread insecurity. One insider described the development as a disconnect between leadership actions and the everyday realities faced by Nigerians.
President Tinubu’s appointment of Governor Uzodimma as Renewed Hope Ambassador and Director-General for Party Outreach and Mobilisation was formally announced on November 25 by presidential aide Bayo Onanuga. In this role, Uzodimma is expected to coordinate messaging, unify party structures, and promote the administration’s programmes nationwide, working closely with APC governors who will also serve as “Ambassadors of Hope.”
