President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on his 58th birthday, describing him as “an exceptional performer” and a dedicated public servant.
In a statement released on Saturday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu praised Wike’s life of purpose, courage, and commitment to public service.
The President highlighted Wike’s role in the transformation of the FCT through an aggressive infrastructure renewal program, noting specifically his intervention in breaking a 14-year deadlock on the Apo–Karshi Road project.
“Nyesom Wike has been one of the shining stars in the cabinet, delivering infrastructure in the Federal Capital as never seen before,” Tinubu said. “His resilience, can-do attitude, and dedication to excellence have made him a top performer, earning him the moniker ‘Mr Project’ beyond his home state of Rivers.”
Despite belonging to a different political party, Wike has been recognized as a key contributor to the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda. Tinubu wished him continued good health, renewed strength, and greater accomplishments in his service to the nation.
