Tinubu Arrives Lagos for Year-End Break

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Lagos State to spend the end-of-year holidays after completing official visits to Borno and Bauchi states.

The President landed at the presidential wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, where he was welcomed by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, alongside other government officials and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Earlier, President Tinubu had departed Abuja on a three-state tour. His first stop was Borno State, where he commissioned several projects carried out by the state government under Governor Babagana Zulum in partnership with the Federal Government.

While in Maiduguri, the President also attended the wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Borno State Governor and Senator, Ali Modu Sheriff.

From Borno, Tinubu proceeded to Bauchi State, where he paid a condolence visit to the state government and the family of the late Islamic scholar and Tijjaniyya leader, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, who passed away on November 27.

Following the condolence visit, the President arrived in Lagos, where he is expected to participate in a number of activities during the holiday period.
One of his major engagements includes attending the annual Eyo Festival on December 27 at Tafawa Balewa Square, where he will serve as the guest of honour.

The festival will also honour notable personalities, including the President’s late mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, as well as former Lagos State Governors, Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola.
