The Akume Dajoh family has announced the marriage of George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), to Queen Zaynab Ngohemba-George Akume Dajoh, in a statement shared by Abraham Double-d Dajoh on Facebook on Friday.
The family welcomed the bride, describing her as “new and uncommon,” and expressed gratitude to supporters of Senator Akume, urging continued support for the couple. They also extended a warm welcome to Queen Zaynab, noting her new connection to Benue State, the Tiv nation’s leadership seat in Mbakor, and the Dajoh family.
“Welcome home, Queen Zaynab,” the family message concluded. Several photos online show Queen Zaynab with members of the Dajoh family.
Queen Zaynab was previously married to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, in a traditional ceremony on March 12, 2016, in Benin City, Edo State, followed by a reception at the Royal Court of Ife. She was known as Olori Wuraola during that marriage, which ended on August 30, 2017, after approximately 17 months. In her announcement, she denied rumors of infidelity and infertility and affirmed her commitment to humanitarian work with the United Nations.
After the divorce, she reverted to her maiden name, Zaynab Otiti Obanor, and moved to Doha, Qatar. Reports also indicate she previously married a wealthy Arab prince, with whom she welcomed a daughter in 2022, before resurfacing as Akume’s new wife.
