A fuel tanker carrying petroleum motor spirit (PMS) has overturned at the Tincan Liverpool Bridge in Apapa, Lagos, causing a dangerous scene as residents and passersby rushed to scoop the spilled fuel.
The incident, which occurred on Monday morning, was captured in a video shared by Channels Television, showing people gathering under the bridge with containers to collect fuel leaking from the fallen tanker.
Despite repeated warnings by authorities about the risks, many ignored the danger, even as tanker explosions remain a recurring and deadly problem in Nigeria.
