The 10-month-old granddaughter of American rapper Snoop Dogg has tragically passed away, her mother announced on social media. The infant, Codi Dreaux, had faced ongoing health challenges linked to her premature birth.
Codi, the daughter of Snoop Dogg’s youngest child, Cori Broadus, died on January 26, Broadus shared via Instagram Stories. Alongside a black-and-white photo of herself holding the baby, she wrote: “Monday I lost the love of my life. My Codi,” adding an angel wing emoji.
Wayne Deuce, the child’s father, also confirmed the heartbreaking news in a separate social media post, sharing photos with Codi and writing: “I’ve been the saddest since you left me, Codi Dreaux. But I know you’re at peace. Daddy will always love you.”
Born in February 2025 at just 25 weeks, Codi arrived three months earlier than expected. Broadus had described the pregnancy as high-risk, and the baby was delivered via emergency caesarean section after Broadus developed HELLP syndrome, a serious pregnancy complication affecting the liver and platelet levels.
Codi spent nearly ten months in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) before being discharged in early January 2026. Broadus had celebrated the milestone, sharing her relief with fans and expressing gratitude for the support and prayers she received throughout her daughter’s hospitalisation.
No official cause of death has been released, and the infant’s passing occurred a few weeks after leaving intensive care. Broadus had first revealed her pregnancy in December 2024, acknowledging the medical concerns tied to extreme prematurity.
Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Broadus Jr., has not issued a public statement regarding the loss. The rapper has four children and several grandchildren.
