The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has alerted the public to the circulation of fake recruitment websites claiming to be conducting hiring exercises for the agency.
In a statement posted on its official X account on Tuesday, the NIS clarified that the only legitimate recruitment process currently ongoing is managed by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).
The service warned:
“Any other websites, links, or advertisements circulating outside the official CDCFIB portal are unauthorised and should be disregarded.”
The NIS also advised applicants to remain vigilant and avoid falling prey to fraudsters who may collect personal data or demand payments under the guise of recruitment.
Members of the public are encouraged to report any suspicious recruitment adverts or websites to the relevant authorities.
