Two senior media aides in the administration of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa have stepped down from their positions in the past 48 hours, raising questions about the stability of the government’s communications team.
Pastor Taiwo Ilesanmi Gbamila, who served as the Senior Special Assistant on Multimedia, and Mr Olugbenga Abire, the Special Assistant on Media, officially resigned their appointments, sources confirmed.
Unverified reports suggest that other media aides in the governor’s team may also be considering resignation.
Insiders within the governor’s media circle noted that some prominent aides are expected to be the first to submit their resignations should the situation persist.
Efforts to reach the Governor’s Office for comment on the matter were unsuccessful as of press time.
