Social media has been awash with criticism following a viral livestream showing content creator Peller and skit maker-turned-streamer Carter Efe damaging each other’s vehicles during a heated exchange.
In the footage, which circulated widely online, both men were seen climbing onto the cars and smashing the windscreens with stones as viewers watched the incident unfold in real time. The cause of the confrontation was not immediately disclosed.
Speaking during a follow-up broadcast, Peller justified his conduct, stating that he felt vindicated after destroying Carter’s car.
He alleged that his action was in retaliation for earlier damage done to his own property.
According to him, he had endured repeated provocations without the chance to respond.
He claimed that previous visits to Carter’s studio offered no opportunity for reprisal, as there was nothing available to target.
Peller further stated that Carter’s recent purchase of a new vehicle created the opening he had been waiting for.
He admitted to being the first to climb onto the car but maintained that his response was warranted.
In a brief reaction, Carter dismissed Peller’s defence, accusing him of acting in an overly hostile manner.
The controversy comes shortly after businessman Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-Money, reportedly gifted the vehicle to Carter, a gesture that has fuelled further backlash, with many online commentators condemning the destruction of an expensive present for the sake of content creation.
