Two hurt in truck collision on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

Two individuals suffered injuries on Sunday morning after two trucks collided at the Arepo Bridge axis of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The accident reportedly happened at about 4 a.m. and involved an empty American Cola truck and a Seaco truck.

The incident triggered a traffic jam along the busy route as officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps worked to remove the damaged vehicles and restore the free flow of traffic.

Witnesses at the scene disclosed that one of the drivers sustained serious injuries and was immediately rushed to a hospital for medical attention.

A witness, Mrs Ibukun Victoria, who spoke with PUNCH Online, said the other driver involved in the crash sustained only slight injuries.a@aaa

Another motorist who observed the incident attributed the accident to debris allegedly left on the road, which he said might have played a role in the collision.
