An aspirant of the for the Akoko North East/Akoko North West Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, Hon. Akingbola Ebenezer Akintunde, popularly known as Mogbaf’OGO, has said he would deliver better representation than the incumbent lawmaker, Hon. Ife Ehindero, if elected.
Akintunde made the declaration in a statement issued on Tuesday, where he criticised the level of development in the federal constituency and promised to reposition the area through what he described as effective and people-oriented representation.
According to him, the constituency has not witnessed the expected level of growth and development despite being represented at the National Assembly.
He alleged that the area was lagging behind in critical areas of development, stressing that the people deserved a more proactive and responsive leadership.
“The Federal Constituency is behind in terms of development, and our people deserve far better representation. If given the opportunity, I will do better and ensure that the voices and needs of our people are adequately represented,” he said.
Akintunde noted that his aspiration was driven by a commitment to bring meaningful development, improve access to opportunities for youths and women, and facilitate projects that would have direct impact on the lives of residents.
The ADC aspirant added that effective representation goes beyond occupying a seat in the National Assembly, stressing that it requires dedication, accessibility to constituents and the ability to attract developmental projects to the area.
He also pledged to focus on empowerment initiatives, infrastructure development and policies that would enhance the socio-economic wellbeing of the people of Akoko North East/Akoko North West Federal Constituency.
Akintunde therefore called on residents of the constituency to support his aspiration, promising to prioritise their welfare and work towards delivering the dividends of democracy.
