A former President of the National Association of Nigerian Students has called on Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, to assist a job seeker reportedly keeping a vigil at the Government House.
The appeal came after reports that the young man had stayed around the Governor’s Office for several days in a bid to secure employment.
The ex-student leader described the development as a reflection of the harsh economic realities confronting many Nigerian youths.
He urged the governor to respond with empathy by considering the individual for any available position.
“Your Excellency, this young man’s determination is evident. I appeal that you kindly consider him for employment,” he said.
He noted that the situation offers an opportunity for the government to demonstrate responsive and people-oriented leadership.
“Offering him a job will not only transform his life but also restore hope to many others in similar conditions,” he added.
The former NANS president also appealed for calm, urging authorities to ensure order and safety around the Government House.
As of the time of filing this report, there was no official reaction from the Ondo State Government.
