The All Progressives Congress has faulted a report in circulation suggesting the fees for its expression of interest and nomination forms for the 2027 general elections, insisting the information is untrue.
The report, which spread across media platforms on Friday, alleged that presidential hopefuls would be required to pay N200 million, while aspirants for state houses of assembly would part with N20 million.
Addressing the development on Saturday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, said the claim was not issued by the party.
He explained that the APC had become aware of the publication and described it as misleading, noting that it did not reflect the party’s position.
Morka stated that the party had yet to take any decision regarding the sale or pricing of nomination forms for the next general elections.
He added that no official statement had been released by the party on the matter, contrary to what was being circulated.
The APC spokesman characterised the report as unfounded and lacking credibility.
He, therefore, urged members of the party, media practitioners, and the public to ignore the claims, maintaining that they were false.
