Factions within the People’s Democratic Party in Sokoto State have reportedly disagreed over plans to attend the party’s national convention in Abuja.
The rift emerged among party stakeholders in the state, with opposing groups taking different positions on participation in the event. While one faction is said to be in support of attending and aligning with the party’s central leadership decisions, another group is reportedly hesitant, reflecting ongoing internal divisions within the state chapter.
The disagreement highlights the continued struggle for unity within the PDP in Sokoto, as factions jostle for influence and control ahead of key party activities at the national level. Party members are expected to resolve their differences as the convention approaches to ensure effective representation and cohesion
