BREAKING: Zulum dissolves Borno State Executive Council

Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has ordered the immediate dissolution of the State Executive Council.

In a statement on Monday, Bukar Tijani, Secretary to the State Government, said the move is aimed at giving council members the freedom to participate in the upcoming general elections if they wish.

The governor directed all commissioners to hand over the management of their ministries to the Permanent Secretaries by Friday, April 3, 2026.

Professor Zulum expressed his appreciation to the outgoing commissioners, praising their dedication and contributions to the growth and development of Borno State.

Permanent Secretaries are now expected to oversee ministry activities until new appointments are made, ensuring continuity in governance during the election period.
