Tinubu, APC govt creating impression Nigeria has no govt, says Adeyanju

Activist lawyer Deji Adeyanju has condemned the recurring killings in Plateau State and other parts of the country, describing the crisis as evidence of weak leadership under President Bola Tinubu.

Adeyanju, in a statement, said the repeated attacks on citizens were alarming and raised serious doubts about the government’s capacity to protect lives and property.

He faulted the response of Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress-led administration, warning that the ongoing violence was creating a damaging perception of Nigeria both at home and abroad.

“The continued killings in Plateau State and other parts of Nigeria are heartbreaking and deeply troubling. It is increasingly difficult to understand how citizens can be attacked and killed repeatedly, with no clear solution in sight,” he said.

Adeyanju added, “The conduct of the President and the APC-led government in this regard is creating the impression that Nigeria effectively has no government, and it sends a terrible message both to Nigerians and to the rest of the world.”

He stressed that the persistence of insecurity was undermining public confidence, damaging Nigeria’s reputation and hampering national development, urging the government to take decisive steps to address the crisis.
