The Secretary to the Government of Ondo State, Taiwo Fasoranti, has stepped down from his position to contest the Ondo Central Senatorial District seat in the 2027 general elections.
Fasoranti, who is the son of Reuben Fasoranti, confirmed in his resignation letter that he will be seeking the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the senatorial race.
He explained that his decision was driven by a strong sense of duty, commitment to public service, and belief in the potential of the people of Ondo Central.
The former SSG highlighted his extensive experience, including over three decades in the medical field and public administration. He also referenced his role at the State House Medical Centre in Abuja, where he rose to a director-level position before retiring in 2024.
Fasoranti stated that his professional background and time in government have prepared him for legislative responsibilities, adding that he is committed to providing effective representation and translating the needs of the people into tangible results at the national level.
He further called on residents of Ondo Central to support his senatorial ambition as he begins his political journey toward the 2027 elections.
