JUST IN: Kebbi Assembly Speaker dies in Egypt

The Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Muhammad Usman Ankwai, died on Monday in Egypt after a brief illness.

Ankwai, who represented the Zuru constituency in the assembly, was elected Speaker of the 10th Assembly on June 8, 2023.

Further details of his death were still sketchy as of press time.
