A caucus of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State has endorsed Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The group also backed former Kwara APC chairman, Bashir Bolarinwa, as its preferred candidate for the state’s governorship race.
The endorsements were announced during a stakeholders’ meeting held in Shao, where party leaders, elders, and grassroots mobilisers gathered to discuss the party’s future.
Speaking on behalf of the caucus, convener Bolaji Afolabi said the group remains united in its support for the Tinubu administration, citing its reform-driven policies and leadership approach.
He highlighted key initiatives such as fuel subsidy removal, exchange rate unification, infrastructure development, and the introduction of a student loan scheme, describing them as necessary steps toward long-term economic stability.
On the governorship endorsement, Afolabi described Bolarinwa as a capable and unifying leader with proven experience, noting his role in the APC’s success during the 2019 general elections and his contribution to the “Otógé” political movement in the state.
The caucus also urged the party leadership to consider Moro LGA for representation in the House of Representatives in 2027, citing the area’s consistent electoral support for the APC.
Reaffirming its loyalty, the group pledged continued support for the party at all levels and expressed confidence in its chosen candidates ahead of the elections.
