The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of results for candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on April 17 and 18.
In a statement issued on Sunday, JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin confirmed that a total of 1,264,940 results from the two days are now available for candidates to access.
He explained that candidates can check their results by sending “UTMERESULT” to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number they used during registration.
Benjamin also revealed that the board had earlier released 632,752 results from the April 16 examination. This brings the total number of UTME results released so far to 1,897,692.
The update comes after concerns from candidates over delays in releasing the April 17 results. The spokesperson had initially assured that the results would be available before midnight on Saturday but later issued an apology when the timeline was not met.
He attributed the delay to the unavailability of JAMB’s chief executive due to official engagements, assuring candidates that the results would be released before the end of Sunday.
JAMB expressed appreciation to candidates for their patience and understanding during the delay.
