The Peoples Democratic Party has unveiled its timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections, fixing the cost of its presidential expression of interest and nomination forms at N51m.
The schedule, issued on Wednesday in Abuja by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Umar Bature, outlines key dates and fees for aspirants across all elective positions.
According to the document, governorship aspirants are to pay N31m for nomination forms, while those seeking seats in the Senate and House of Representatives will pay N7m and N4m respectively. The cost of nomination forms for state Houses of Assembly was pegged at N3m.
The party, however, granted a concession to female aspirants, stating that they would only be required to pay for the expression of interest forms, fixed at N1m for all positions.
The timetable indicated that the sale of forms would commence on April 27 and end on May 4, while submission of completed forms would close on May 9.
It added that the presidential primary election would hold between May 17 and May 18, while governorship primaries are scheduled for May 27. Primaries for the House of Representatives, Senate and state Houses of Assembly are slated for May 21, May 23 and May 25 respectively.
All appeals arising from the primaries are expected to be concluded on May 30.
The party also fixed May 12 for the screening of presidential and governorship aspirants, while those contesting National Assembly and state assembly positions will be screened on May 11.
Bature said the timetable was released in line with the provisions of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and the Electoral Act 2026, as well as the guidelines issued by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
