The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ekiti State, Oluwole Oluyede, has outlined a governance agenda centred on inclusivity, transparency and sustainable development ahead of the state’s 2026 election.
Oluyede, who spoke with journalists in Ikere Ekiti on Saturday, said his ambition is driven by a commitment to improve the living conditions of residents, particularly the grassroots population.
According to him, his administration, if elected, would focus on delivering policies and programmes that address the needs of all segments of society without discrimination.
He emphasised that governance under his leadership would be anchored on accountability, effective coordination and measurable impact across communities.
The Independent National Electoral Commission has scheduled June 20 for the Ekiti State governorship election, which is expected to feature candidates from multiple political parties.
Oluyede assured that his government would prioritise economic expansion, support for small and medium-scale enterprises, and improved access to critical sectors such as healthcare, education and rural infrastructure.
He also pledged to run an open and responsive administration, stressing that public trust and transparency would remain key drivers of governance.The PDP candidate added that his vision is to build a state where opportunities are accessible to all residents, noting that inclusive governance is essential for long-term growth and stability.
