A fresh political development has emerged within the All Progressives Congress (APC) as Edo-based politician Stanley Osifo has declared his intention to contest against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the party’s presidential ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Osifo made the declaration on April 27, 2026, insisting that the APC must uphold internal democracy by allowing a competitive primary rather than adopting a consensus arrangement.
