Ahead of the 2027 general elections, Her Royal Highness Tinuade Mabel Onaneye has endorsed Bidemi Joshua Obayangban as her preferred candidate for the House of Representatives seat representing Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency under the All Progressives Congress.
The royal figure also pledged $10,000 to support Obayangban’s aspiration ahead of the APC primary election scheduled for May.
In a letter addressed to Ondo State Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, she described Obayangban as a bona fide son of Ode Aye Kingdom and dismissed claims questioning his origin as politically motivated.
She stated that the aspirant enjoys wide acceptance within the community and strong backing from traditional leaders, youths, women, and party supporters.
According to her, despite multiple contenders from the area, Obayangban remains the most broadly accepted aspirant within the APC for the constituency seat.
She also praised Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership under the EASE agenda and urged him to continue supporting credible and committed leaders in Ondo State.
Obayangban is one of several aspirants seeking the APC ticket for the federal constituency ahead of the next election cycle.
